"Heinz and his firm, CustomRF, have been an important part of Water Hero's wireless team, providing critical technical guidance and engineering expertise to help us fine tune the onboard WiFi antenna circuitry on our main controller board. Thanks to his expertise, we have optimized our connectivity range. Heinz is the consummate professional, and his commitment to service and prompt turnaround times are an added plus. It is a pleasure working with Heinz, and I give him my highest recommendation." Dan Sterling, Founder, Water Hero, Inc. |
"Heinz did great work for us in a very short time. He took what was a proof-of-concept and optimized it to work with our many constraints. We are very happy with the work Heinz did and would recommend him wholeheartedly." Dan Beaudet, VP Engineering at Sparx Hockey, Velasa Sports, Inc. |
"Heinz performed system level design and analysis work for me on an LF magnetic field product. His analytical skills are unmatched. He performed an initial design for our system, ran a simulation on the design, and provided recommendations that ensured a solid link budget with a low probability of bit error were achieved. Heinz is very responsive and extremely easy to work with on complex technical projects. I’d hire him again without hesitation." David McManus, President, Near Field Magnetics, Inc. |
“Heinz is a competent and thorough professional - easy to work with and gets things done. Heinz has been doing antenna simulation work for octoScope. He is always responsive, helpful and able to suggest innovative ways to solve problems. Heinz definitely knows his field and I highly recommend his services.” Fanny Mlinarski, President, octoScope Inc. |
"Heinz performed antenna testing and matching for the wifi antennas in the Jibo social robot. Despite being very busy he went out of his way to meet our tight deadlines and the performance we are now achieving is more than acceptable. I won't hesitate to contact him should we need these services again in the future." Martin Pitwood, Head of Hardware, Jibo, Inc. |
“Heinz worked for me as a systems engineer. In that role he developed the architecture and performed the systems analysis of an 802.11a/b WLAN front-end chip set. He designed some innovative circuits that resulted in a patent application. He was key in prototype characterization of and reference designs for the chip set. Heinz was a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend him.” Gunnar Nitsche, Group Leader, Philips Semiconductor |
"I got to know Heinz Bachmann shortly after I came to work at Raytheon Company, Marlborough, MA in December 1997. I was assigned to work on the T3(H) Program, which was a mobile tri-band (C, X, and Ku-band) satellite ground terminal for the US Army. My role on the program was as a Systems Engineer, responsible for the integration and testing of the terminal, with particular emphasis on the testing and Certification of the antennas and terminal for use with both commercial and military satellite communications networks. In that role, I worked very closely with Heinz, who was the lead RF engineer on the project. His responsibilities included writing the RF requirements for the terminal, overseeing the design and development of the hardware, of which he personally performed much of the design himself, and then overseeing the testing and integration of the RF hardware, working closely with Systems Engineering, the Program Office, and the customer for qualification, and acceptance. In his multiple roles, Heinz did an outstanding job. His knowledge of RF, microwaves, and SATCOM requirements that he employed in specifying and designing this state-of-the-art terminal were indispensable, and his dedication, hard work, and leadership through all phases of the project were unmatched. Heinz was a pleasure to work with as a team member, and his contributions to me and to the overall project were significant. My ability to successfully obtain terminal Certifications with both commercial and military agencies was due, in no small measure, to Heinz’s contributions. Following work on this project, I began work on a different project than Heinz, who was assigned to develop a state-of-the-art Bluetooth LAN. Although we no longer worked on the same program, we continued to communicate frequently, and often exchanged technical ideas. Once again, I was greatly impressed with Heinz’s technical knowledge, and his ability to develop practical solutions to difficult problems. Heinz is very knowledgeable and skilled in the RF, microwave, and communications arenas, and is also very hardworking and dedicated. I would welcome his addition to any technical project to which I was assigned, and I give him my highest recommendation." Joseph D. Corn, Engineering Fellow (Ret.), Raytheon |
